INFO, the school newspaper, devotes the majority of its February 1, 1946 issue to advocating for integration in baseball. INFO editors, harnessing the power of the press, write to sports writers of their day, and excerpted responses from eight journalists, all in favor of integration.
This question has been stated too many times: Are a people, because of the pigmentation of their skin, always to be doomed to the fate of being the underdog and inferior race? The answer by all decent logic should be no; but for the hard-headed there is no logic. Some of these people must be convinced by example an even then, most of them don’t react to the stimulus of persuasion. However, organized baseball is moving in the direction of equality, as we indicated in a recent editorial.
